Not a lot of my creative projects last long. A lot of the time I'll have an idea, spend 2 weeks making half a thing, find a distraction and move on, rinse and repeat. So the fact that the bevwebsite is still thriving a year into its life is ridiculous. I love the whole ecosystem of personal websites and the creative people that make them, so to be a part of that has been a huge privilege.

I was in a rough place when I started up this site. I was living rural, far from my friends and family, with people that didn't treat me well. To say running this site got me through a rough situation feels hyperbolic, but it made a nice distraction in the evenings. I'm better off now, my situation is probably the best it's ever been, and through the whole thing this site's grown into something I'm so proud of.

It's been such a big part of my life, to the point that my friends know me as "the guy with the website", and I've loved nagging them into making sites of their own. Sometimes it even works! I've absolutely loved the medium and working in it, and if I can help it I won't be stopping anytime soon.

Here's to a bajillion years more!
